Functions of the Human Rights Training and Promotion Department

The activities mentioned below will be carried out within the framework of the main function of promoting and disseminating human rights education.

· Plan activities to support and disseminate human rights education, as well as to oversee its implementation and reporting;

· Organize human rights training, promotion, and advocacy activities;

· Conduct publicity to increase public awareness and understanding of international treaties and conventions;

· Support the provision of human rights education and promotion through formal, informal, and lifelong education systems and cooperate with relevant parties;

· Implement the activities aimed at improving the content, methodology, quality, and accessibility of human rights education provided in the formal education system;

· Organize human rights training aimed at the target community reflected in the Commission's strategic plan;

· Take steps to accredit human rights training programs in human rights credit hours;

· Train human rights trainers, approve curriculum and content, and organize training;

· Organize human rights promotion in various forms and by the characteristics and needs of the target population, and evaluate its effectiveness;

· Organize discussions and public lectures on human rights;

· Publish, disseminate, and promote the Journal Human Rights;

· Prepare and distribute human rights handbooks and recommendations, as well as prepare, publish, disseminate, and promote printed materials, booklets, and brochures;

· Cooperate with the media and other organizations on respect and protection of human rights and freedoms;

· Promote the activities of the Commission, maintain websites and social networks, regular updating of information and distribution to citizens and the public;

· Publish the Status Report on Human Rights and Freedoms in Mongolia, distribute them electronically and in printed form, and publicize;

· Coordinate media and public relations activities;

· Implement public relations strategy;

· Creating a database for human rights education and promotion.
